Updating Hospice Info with Medicare

My hospice's profit status is incorrect on Care Compare. How do I update it?

Is the profit status in the PECOS record correct? If not, the correction first needs to be made in PECOS and ASPEN.

  • Complete form CMS-855A in PECOS with the updated demographic information https://pecos.cms.hhs.gov/pecos/login.do#headingLv1. If you need assistance, contact your Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC).
  • Request your Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) to send the updated 855A form to your regional CMS Location (formerly known as Regional Office) with a request to update the demographic data in ASPEN.
  • If the information is correct in PECOS and ASPEN, the hospice should contact the iQIES help desk at iQIES@cms.hhs.gov or by phone at (800) 339-9313.
