South Dakota Hospices

Patients approaching the end of their life often express the desire for quality of life over the prospect of extending life. Patients also want support for their loved ones. Hospice care utilizes an approach called palliative care. This type of care is designed to focus on the patient and the family, providing care that meets each individual's needs. Hospice also provides bereavement support to the family for at least 13 months after the death of the patient.
